Natasha Johansson

I'm Natasha Johansson, a freelance multi-platform journalist with a passion for music and broadcasting. I am currently a casual staff member at BBC Radio 5 Live and MA Journalism student at the University of Salford.

In broadcasting, I have previously worked with BBC One's 'Turn Back Time', BBC Three's Frankenstein's Wedding and the History Channel's 'Crimes That Shook Britain,' and independently I have presented my own folk music show on Leeds Student Radio, and TV show featuring local and regional acoustic music.

As a writer, I have contributed regularly to newspapers (Manchester Evening News, Salford Advertiser, Leeds Student, Stocksbridge Look Local) and have written reviews and features for online magazines including Kerrang Radio and Silent Radio, amongst others.

A singer-songwriter and keen folk musician, I founded the Leeds University Folk Society in 2009 and regularly perform gigs in and around the North of England.
