As a dancer trained in the classical Indian form of Bharatanatyam and now completing training in contemporary dance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, I am most concerned with developing a creative practice that embraces both these approaches to movement.

I want to use the inherent classicism of Bharatanatyam to stray outside of traditional motifs to embody actual, lived experiences of the modern world; I want to create truly innovative work that will remove Bharatanatyam from its cultural niche and propel it into the international mainstream creative world.

I am currently engaged in performance, improvisation, choreographic research and writing. Sharing is part of my profession; please do get in touch for workshops and classes.
