I have been interested in aesthetics all my life. Only in primary (elementary) school I didn’t know such a word existed, or that it could become a career.
In high school we had an opportunity to visit a workplace on a ‘careers day’ and I chose the advertising agency that my uncle worked at. He was a ‘commercial artist’, so spent the day seeing him work on concepts for the agency’s clients. I can still remember the fascination and excitement I had with the agency’s Letraset catalogue. That was the day that I started formulating my career pathway. While other people were considering their tertiary education options, I knew that I was going to study at the School of Design.
Over 20 years later and my passion for art and design has not relented. I enjoy drawing, painting and creating visual solutions.
My latest interest has been writing – starting with writing about art and design, of course!
