Robbie Maakestad lived near Chicago until the ripe age of four, when he moved to Indianapolis, where he spent the rest of his growing-up years. He attended Taylor University where he graduated in 2012 with a degree in Creative Writing. In 2014, Robbie received a Masters of Creative Writing (Nonfiction) from Ball State University. Currently, Robbie is an MFA nonfiction candidate at George Mason University, where he teaches composition, literature, and creative writing. He is also the Assistant Editor for Phoebe. He is interested in the interplay of his Christian faith and his writing.
