Anesthesiologist Ramis Gheith, MD established the Interventional Pain Institute in St. Louis, Missouri. A graduate of Saba University School of Medicine, Dr. Ramis Gheith completed his medical residency for internal medicine at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Dr. Ramis Gheith undertook his anesthesiology residency at the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, followed by his medical anesthesiology pain fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in the same city.

During this same time period, Dr. Gheith served as an Instructor of Anesthesiology at Rush University Medical Center until 2008. Dr. Ramis Gheith served as Chief Resident of the anesthesiology residency program from 2006 thru 2007 at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, and he was recruited in 2008 by the Carle Clinic Association as Director of Pain Management. Dr. Gheith eventually founded his private practice in St. Louis, where he continues to treat patients for a wide variety of pain-related conditions.

Dr. Ramis Gheith treats carpal tunnel syndrome, lumbar radicular sydrome (sciatica), acute and chronic low back pain and neck pain, cervical radicular syndromes , migraine headaches, myofascial pain syndrome, peripheral neuralgia, phantom limb pain, spinal stenosis, and trigeminal neuralgia among many other such debilitating conditions. Dr. Ramis Gheith is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the International Anesthesia Research Society, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Ramis Gheith holds Diplomate status with The American Board of Anesthesiology. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Master’s degree in Science, both earned prior to his attending medical school. His professional areas of interest include the advancement of interventional treatments for post-laminectomy pain syndrome, spinal arthritis, and complex neurological pain disorders.
