Monique D. Boone

Monique Boone is a Graduate of the former M.B. Smiley High School in Houston, Texas. She attended Stephen F. Austin State University for both her undergraduate and graduate Education Degrees. For 10 years, Ms. Boone taught middle school English, Journalism, and then worked as an interventionist before becoming a Digital Learning Coach and then an Instructional Technology Specialist. Ms. Boone also served as a Teacher Development Specialist for the Secondary Curriculum department in Houston ISD before moving to school administration where she lead academics and instruction as a Teacher Specialist and Dean. Currently, she is the PK-12 ELAR Coordinator in Channelview ISD. Ms. Boone is a certified Master Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist, and she also spends her time teaching GED classes for Harris County Department of Education and training other educators around the state and nation in the areas of literacy, technology, best teaching practices, and Identity affirming schools.
