Matthew Trifiro

I am the father of two boys, a grateful husband, and an incurable optimist.

I am a marketing practitioner and a startup entrepreneur. I love early-stage startups.

I am part of the management team at Mesosphere. I was CMO of PaaS innovator Heroku, co-founder and CEO of e-commerce breakout 1000 Markets (sold to Bonanza) and co-founder and VP of Marketing of the interactive television company Wink Communications (IPO, NASDAQ).

I served on the national board of the Trust for Public Land for 7 years. Also, I was Chairman for Commonweal Communities, a non-profit housing developer.

I am a professionally-trained chef. Chili peppers, cardamom and kimchi make me swoon.

I helped build a PC operating systems and ran customer service at Geoworks.

I studied philosophy at UC Berkeley.

I ran a small, indie concert series in the Presidio.

I've been an editor of a magazine. I've programmed Atari
video games in 6502 assembly. I've run a documentation
department. I even took five years off of tech to be a
real estate investor (Los Angeles, Miami, Palm Beach).

I live in Berkeley, California.
