Some people are great strategic thinkers while others are fantastic tactical implementers - my passion in the workplace is where these two worlds collide. There is a greater need for leaders who possess the ability to think and operate on both sides of the spectrum in order to lead teams and businesses to success, and to date, each of my educational and professional experiences has shaped my attitudes in this area. My education in Mechanical Engineering provided me a framework for solving problems, my roles in a high-volume operations environment gave me a perspective on decision making and leading people, and my time in the Boeing company has broadened my view of the future and given me context for strategic decisions.Boeing is a company that works on some of the most complex and advanced programs in the world, in order to address some of the most necessary and basic (but never simple) of society’s desires. It is a company approaching 100 years of existence having survived multiple wars, the great depression, economic boom, the impacts of 9/11, mergers and acquisitions, and the expansion of the global marketplace. It has seen much success over a variety of sectors in which it operates, but at the same time, it faces ever increasing challenges from competition and market factors that will drive it to renew its focus on business strategy, organizational effectivity, and corporate culture and identity.I have recently relocated from Seattle, WA to Charleston, SC. My combined experience in Project Management, Business, Mechanical Engineering, and Event Management allows me to visualize big picture ideas, and manage the details necessary to bring them to life.
