Dalston Bunker

The Bunker | Abbott Street, London, E8 3DP | November 6th-10h 2013

Protect & Survive is an audio-visual, fictional story concieved by the illustration artist Juliet Sugg. Its story unfolds via a combination of illustrated ‘moments’ in the form of a giant narrative diagram, audio fragments and sculptural dioramas. The notion of time and specifics are necessarily obscured, but via ‘cutaways’ and diagrammatic language, each framed picture is treated like a comic book panel and a sense of narrative can be individually interpreted.
Set within the refuge of the Dalston Bunker, a former World War II shelter, it is an exhibition that will take the viewer on a journey of sobering self-discovery, it is not to be missed. PV - 6th Nov. 2013.
