Inder Kumar Rana

After working as a Professor at IITBombay from 1984-2015, I rejoined as Emeritus Fellow at IITB. I am president of AMTI (The Association of Mathematics Teachers of India)

I have supervised three Ph.D. student and authored 4 books:

1) "Introduction to measure and Integration" AMS Graduate Studies in Mathematics Volume 45, 2000."

2) From Numbers to Analysis" World Scientific Press, 1998"

3) Calculus @IITB, Concepts and Examples", math4all, India, 2007

4) "From Geometry to Algebra: A course in Linear Algebra" math4all, India, 2007

Won three awards:

1. "C. L. Chandna Mathematics Award" for the year 2000 in recognition of distinguished and outstanding contributions to mathematics research and teaching. The award is given by 'Saraswati Vishvas Canada"

2. "Excellence in Teaching" award for the year 2004 Awarded by I. I. T Bombay, based on the evaluations by students

3. "Aryabhata Award" 2012 All India Ramanujan Math Club, India For teaching and work towards math education in India.

Math Education at present is my passion.

I have been organizing training programs for school and undergraduate students. Organizing "Professional Development" workshops , for secondary level school teachers. Seven such workshops have been held touching about 500 teachers; Organizing national level conferences TIME (Technology and Innovations in Math Education) TIME 2005, TIME 2007 TIME 2009, TIME 2011, TIME 2013 and TIME 2015.

I have started "India Math Education Network" A technological solution for teachers, students, parents to interact would be to have a online network. I started such a network: . It has 1, 554 members till 10th June 2016.
