Gennefer Gross is a TV writer, producer, and on-air food personality. She is co-founder of Blox Toppling Productions, an independent film and television production company she runs with her husband and writing partner, David Gross. Gennefer has developed scripted TV shows, produced 10 original documentaries for A&E, web series for Hulu, Sony's Crackle, and TBS, and an award-winning mobile series. She was also a Consultant on Season 11 of HBO’s hit series CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM.

Gennefer and David have been writing as a team for over a decade with a focus on projects that are high concept with a grounded execution. The duo has more than a dozen original TV pilots, ranging from a dark comedy about a heroin-addicted professional bowler called PINS & NEEDLES, a SEX AND THE CITY spin-off centered on the evolution of Post-It infamous Jack Berger, aptly named BERGER, a re-imagining of Jim Morrison’s origin story entitled MORRISON RISING, and an irreverent female-led comedy, THE NEXT STAGE, about an actress navigating the treacherous terrain of Hollywood over 40 while she and her son begin their freshman year together at UCLA. They also have a Tibetan limited spy series in the works with actor James Wolk.

Their feature projects are equally eclectic with a road trip comedy chronicling an unlikely friendship between a struggling novelist and Matthew McConaughey called FOLLOWING GREENLIGHTS, an action comedy set in Scotland, THE LOCH NESS MOBSTER, a rock biopic of the band Oasis, LIVE FOREVER, and an ensemble comedy, POISONING JORDAN (based on the pizza story from THE LAST DANCE).

Look for their upcoming podcast, SNACKILY EVER AFTER, where couples share their obsession with food and each other in uninhibited conversations, about love, sex, and of course, snacks!

When Gennefer's not writing, on a crusade to put an end to hacky jokes about how married couples don't have sex, or trying to be funny on Twitter, she can be found eating around LA, crafting cocktails in her kitchen, or on a quest for the world's best burger. She is also a food and drink contributor for Mandatory.
