I'm a twenty-something guy living in Kent and currently working as an Office Manager & PA at the University of Kent. I have also taken on a part time / evening role running a unique and stylish venue, which includes Bar & Event Management and Business Development.
My background is quite varied, however a large majority of my working life has been in the Marine, travel & tourism and leisure industry; working in various areas including operational customer facing roles and business analytical support roles. Quality customer service and clear, innovative communication has been at the heart of everything I do.
I've been lucky enough to get involved in and lead some great projects such as re-branding, website design & content creation, commercial lease negotiation and some fabulous events!
I have also been exposed to a variety of challenges within the maritime industry, which has allowed me to obtain fantastic problem solving skills and quickly learn how to manage quite challenging situations.
I'm driven by new and exciting challenges in bespoke and fast paced industries. I love to feel part of the team and interact with everyone.
In my spare time (when I find some) I'm normally doing DIY at home, de-stressing in the garden, seeing friends for dinner, watching Family guy and dreaming of my new Power Boat! I'm hoping to get my RYA National Power Boat Level 2 this year, then start saving for the rest of my life so I can own one!
The RYA Power Boat interest comes from my own interest in vessels and the water. Having spent nearly 10 years working in the maritime industry, it is hard not to become a fan of it!
