Gorka Cortázar

dra[kk]o it’s a Venezuelan artist based in Madrid. Born in a family of renowned theater actors, he spent his childhood watching and discussing the concepts of Rajatabla, a Venezuelan theater company and one of the most important in Latin America.

After studying sociology, Gorka started a successful career in the technology world, focusing in providing creative solutions to communicational problems, trough computers. During his 12 years career in Merlin (one of the most innovative technology companies in Latin America) he advised projects for global brands line Warner Channel, Sony Entertainment Television, AXN, Santander Bank and Movistar.

In 2008 he decides to found Tecné Collective with Rodrigo Arcaya, to explore the boundaries between technology and art. During the last two years, Tecné Collective has featured programmatic and audio reactive visual shows for bands like Prefuse 73 (USA), Organicarma (USA), Fangoria (Spain), Nancy Rubias (Spain), Nana Cadavieco (Venezuela) and Atkinson (Venezuela).
