Daniel Farrell

I am an enrolled Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand, currently working in Anti-Money Laundering Compliance. I graduated from the University of Waikato with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Management Studies with an accounting major.

For my university study, I spent most of my time on papers that are in business related fields. This includes areas like Employment Law and the Law of Intellectual Property. I also wrote a research paper as part of my degree. This paper was an investigation into the compliance of charities with accounting standards. As someone who's been involved with charities for a number of years, I found the results quite interesting (spoiler alert: they really, really don't comply). The paper was published as part of the 2017 AFAANZ Conference held in Adelaide.
