I am excited you found this page, and hope you read my biography and check out some of the links below.

Currently, I am finishing the last semester of my Master's Degree in Organizational Communication at the University of Kansas. Org. Comm., as the cool kids say, is a large and diverse area of study. I specialize in Organizational Rhetoric, the study of messages created by organizations. I look at how these message reflect and create the identity, image, and culture of an organization. A simple press release, response to a crisis, or advertisement could fall under my area of critique. I also study, though don't actively research, resistance to organizational change, communication assessments, and the development/maintenance/repair of trust.

Last year I was a key member of a team of consultants who designed and implemented a communication assessment survey at a multi-national engineering firm. I have also worked with executive leadership coaches to interpret interview data and develop final recommendations for clients.

I am currently teaching “Intro to Organizational Communication” and “Public Speaking and Civic Engagement” classes at the University of Kansas. In both of these classes I try to prepare students for the world outside of academia.

Between teaching and taking classes, I work as the Content Manager at Audioholics.com. Audioholics is one of the largest online home theater magazines, with over 1 million monthly visitors. I work to write original content, peer review articles from freelance writers, build relationships with representatives from major consumer electronics companies, organize product review samples, and represent Audioholics at various tradeshows.

After reading all of that, you should have a pretty good idea of my recent professional experience. Feel free to email me for anything else!
