I love the challenge of solving problems. Starting out with electronics as a hobby, I earned a PhD in physics and went on to help discover charmed quarks (J/psi family) and the tau lepton at the SPEAR MARK I particle detector facility in the mid 1970's. After a brief career in medical physics, where I first encountered VMS, I became a computer /technology/ management consultant, for more than 35 years. I am still a big fan of VMS. For my professional bio see the link below. I also play piano, like to ski, bicycle and windsurf, and fix up old cars, boats and houses.
