Bianca Busetti

Vienna

When I was a child, the only "toy" I needed was a pen and paper. Since then my parents knew, that I was going to become anything in the creative branch. I attended an art gymnasium and after that my parents convinced me to start a career in Industrial Design at the higher technical collage in Ferlach (near my birthplace). I really learned a lot from production know how, model making through to presentation skills, drawing and everything about design.Together with three colleagues, we won the first place in category design at the nationwide contest "Youth Innovative" with our project "Camping 360°". With age 20, I managed to become one of the few lucky ones to study under design guru Hartmut Esslinger (founder of Frog Design) at University of Applied Arts Vienna.

Interface design is my pet fad and is what I mainly did for 2 years at Logicx, a small but embracing startup that builds human interactive computer systems enabling for easier recognition and processing of information.
So I decided it's time to run the entrepreneurial rollercoaster and together with my love Andreas Röttl, we founded miavia.in.

I'm an an apple addict and sometimes spent hours at IKEA because I also love interior design and renovating rooms and objects. I am very strict and sometimes also perfectionist and because of my Italian roots, I make sure, that nobody is borrowed. I love team projects because it is easier to create something genius when always making conversation and pushing ideas forward, but I think I learned how to work alone in the same way. I always try to understands the needs of the end user, which is the only way for me to design a good product or service.

Design isn't really my job, more or less it's my lifestyle and my life is topped of by riding my motorcycle or climbing a mountain, because only in nature I can feel free!
