Experience Designer and Consultant in United States

My career has led to a variety of roles that have one through-line: a commitment to create programs, services, and experiences that empower communities.

I offer project-based consulting for the tourism + hospitality, arts + culture, and economic development sectors. I conceive and develop new programs that address gaps in an organization's offerings that will help them to meet and exceed their goals.

In 2018 I led a feasibility study on agritourism centered on Northern Thai coffee, in collaboration with one of Thailand's largest coffee brands. I've lectured on Sustainable Tourism in Vietnam and the US.

For four years I worked with MyBhutan, an innovative travel company in the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan, where I oversaw our international partnerships.

I am also the Founder of Hinoki Travels. We explore locally relevant wellbeing practices in the cultures we visit while immersing ourselves in the landscapes of the remote & rural communities who host us.

In Detroit, I developed a business accelerator for creative entrepreneurs, and co-led the creation of the annual Detroit Design Festival.

I have experience in human-centered design, having facilitated a program for Stanford University d.School's K-12 Lab and Project Breaker, as well as curriculum development for Participatory Design at the College for Creative Studies.

As a writer and content producer, I have contributed to Monocle, Oak Street Magazine, Outside Magazine, & others.

As a brand strategist, I have supported several arts + culture and travel + hospitality companies in refining their identity and messaging.

In my free time I love hiking & trail running, xc-skiing, paddle-boarding, coffee, and contemplative studies.
