Brief Bio of Akber Ayub

Trained to be a mechanical engineer, sailed the seas for over a decade in the merchant navy, then did a stint with the Taj group of hotels as a project engineer. Later, set up couple of industries in Bangalore exporting to Europe and finally heeding an inner call turned a writer. Started with freelancing full-time on travel for mainstream newspapers, inflight and other niche magazines and doing assignments for corporate in-house publications, and in between, writing for editorial pages of a newspaper. Later, worked on coffee table travel books on Kerala and Karnataka as writer and editor. Author of the book 'Marine Diesel Engines' and contributor to one of Jack Canfield’s ‘Chicken soup for the soul’ series of books. Author of 'Malabar Mansion', a suspense thriller. My next novel, a spiritual parable titled 'A Million Miles to Myself' is soon to be published.
