I am a writer living in northern Minnesota, where I also work in education. I write about my job, my kids, my dog, my strong-and-silent-type husband, my chickens, etc. I also write sometimes about my unique childhood and the lessons I learned from it, religion and politics, and what living with anxiety has been like for me.

I started writing for two reasons:
1) I have all of these thoughts rattling around in my brain, and sometimes I write them down and people chuckle, or cry, or nod- and I thought- I don't know. Maybe this could be a thing?
2) did you know that to be a principal you need essentially two master's degrees? Holy student loans. I realized that in order to keep working at the small school, which I love, I needed a side gig. So, here we are.
