After completing my TEFL I set to work teaching English in the U.K. where, with relief, half the work was done for me. Students were attending my lessons and then using their English outside of class to explore London. I’ve recently dipped my toe into the international TEFL world which has got me thinking about the differences between teaching somewhere where English is(n’t) the native language.

I am now teaching English to Spanish teenagers in a secondary school, watch this space for how this developes...
